Celebrating 50 years with Walker-Miller Equipment Co!

August marks the beginning of our 50th year of business in one of America’s best construction markets – Central Florida. We take pride in our history so we decided to share some of our story.

In 1961, Walker G. Miller and W. K. Herold created a company named Hiway Industrial Sales, Inc. Just one year later, the company was renamed to Herold & Miller Equipment Company Inc. and shortly after relocated to its present location on Orange Blossom Trail here in Orlando, Florida. In 1973, we renamed one final time to Walker Miller Equipment Company, Inc.

Walker Millers oldest daughter, Connie Miller, joined the family business in 1980 as Corporate Secretary. While in this position, Connie worked in all aspects of Walker Millers Equipment Co.’s management and succeeded her father as President in 1993. Shortly after obtaining presidency, Connie received her W/MBE certification for the business with the State, County, and City governments.

Today we are proud to continue Walker Miller’s commitment to excellence and dedication as stated in our company motto, “Service is our Best Salesman.”
